A Message From The President & CEO
For over 45 years, Scotiabank Centre has been our region’s hub for the best sports and entertainment events in Atlantic Canada and this past year was no exception.
This year, Scotiabank Centre hosted some of its biggest events ever to bring excitement and vibrancy to downtown Halifax. From comedy and concerts to basketball, hockey and lacrosse, we hosted over 100 events that welcomed fans from near and far.
In early 2022, with partners including the Halifax Regional Municipality, the city of Moncton, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick, Scotiabank Centre and Avenir Centre were awarded the bid to host the 2023 IIHF World Junior Championship.
The Halifax Mooseheads have been the pride of Scotiabank Centre since 1994, but the 2022-2023 regular season was an exceptional year with tremendous displays of leadership, skill, sportsmanship, and fan service.
This year, as part of our commitment to create more opportunities for our community to enjoy events at Scotiabank Centre, we developed new partnerships with organizations that aligned with our focus on equity, diversity, and inclusion.
